Today while shopping for my annual calendar at Big Lots, the “Marry Me” song came on in the store. That made me pretty happy. I’ve used “Marry Me” by Train as a theme song for my book of the same title. I also chose it because most all the lyrics apply to how Jesus asks you and me to be His Bride in a holy and intimate love covenant.
As I was selecting my calendar design there in the aisle, a thought came…”Where is my earthly marriage?” This brought a tinge of disappointment. My heart sunk a little. My eyes were then drawn to the items next to the calendars. I saw a writing journal with a colorful cover that read “Follow your heart, it knows the way”. (I believe in my heart that God has a blessing for me.) The journal to its right read “When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you”. The next journal to its right read “With God all things are possible”. The next journal to its right read “Be still and know that I am God”. My eyes filled up, as my spirit had been spoken to. This is how my God spoke to me today and how He assured me. So I opened up a package of pink notepads there, tore off a sheet and immediately jotted this out, fresh in heart and fresh in thankfulness to the Lord as He touched my spirit and let me know He’s not forgotten me or left me out. I only hoped the cameras wouldn’t think I was stealing the sheet before I bought the package. The Lord says, "Marry Me and Trust Me." -Written by an honest author who shares with you, so that your own heart may be encouraged. “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” ~Psalm 37:4 NIV
